Bamboo Garden Restaurant / Joostenberg Vlakte

This is a small and cozy restaurant in the heart of a Garden Center located right next to the Bugz Playpark in Joostenberg Vlakte. So if you happen to get hungry during your plant shopping, this is a nice place for some breakfast or lunch while the kids find a cute little playground right next to the outside seating area.

The play area basically consists of a huge sandpit with many toys to play with, a mud kitchen, play house, swing, pole and jungle gym. It’s especially nice for younger children who can play close-by and within a safe distance from your table.

Breakfast is served from 09:00 – 11:30 and you will find toasted sandwiches, salads, burger, fish, wraps and much more on their menu. They also have a separate kiddies menu to cater for the young ones. You can check out the full menu here: MENU

Our Experience

It’s a cozy little restaurant as part of a lovely Garden center. So if you get hungry in the middle of your plant shopping, the Bamboo Restaurant is a nice place to take a little food break. The play area is small, but equipped with a lot of sand toys, a play kitchen, fireman pole, miniature house, swing, wobbly bridge…. So the children can explore and play while you are seated right next to the play area. We were a bit surprised about the prices – we didn’t expect a Garden Restaurant to be on the more expensive side. So we just had a couple of drinks and let the kids have some fun on the playground.
