Caffe Neo / Mouille Point

Caffe Neo is actually a proper restaurant with an all-day breakfast menu as well as other Greek inspired dishes such as Baklava, Halloumi and other yummy dishes. So you can definitely grab a decent bite to eat there with fantastic views of the old Lighthouse and the promenade.

We usually make use of their little deli counter right outside the building where the kids can have an ice-cream treat whenever we play at the Mouille Point Adventure Playground right across the street.

Besides a cute selection of different Italian-style ice cream flavours, they also serve vegan ice-cream options for R65 per scoop. The “normal” ice cream costs R35 per scoop and they also do baby scoops for the youngsters at R25 per scoop.

They also serve some pastries over the counter as well as coffee and cool drinks. So it’s a really nice spot to stop by and get some delicious in-between treats for yourself and the kids.

Our Experience

We often play at the playground across the street and were so excited when we found that place which sells ice-cream out of the window. The kids love it, the ice-cream tastes delicious and it’s super convenient. The fun factor is obviously limited as it’s a normal ice-cream parlour. Nothing spectacular, but always great to have it there.
