If you’re looking for a party venue in the Melkbos/Melkbosstrand area that goes far beyond the usual jumping castle and cupcakes setup, XShot Games is one of the most exciting options on the West Coast. It combines an outdoor gel-blaster arena with a whole mix of family-friendly activities, giving kids the chance to run wild, laugh hard, and burn off loads of energy — all in a safe, well-run environment.

🎯 A PARTY CONCEPT BUILT AROUND ACTION AND ADVENTURE

XShot Games is powered by the international gel-blaster brand ZURU, so the entire space is designed for fast-paced, foam-dart-style fun without the mess of paintball or the sting of airsoft. Kids use soft, gel-filled pellets that burst on impact, making it a safer alternative that’s suitable from around age 6 and up. For younger kids, there is also the option to play with soft foam darts. A dedicated Field Marshal leads every session, explains the rules, keeps the games safe and fair, and guides the teams through each round.

Parties start with a briefing and a warm-up practice run, followed by a series of fun mission-style games. The structured format means kids always know what to do and there’s no time for boredom — which is exactly what most parents hope for in a party venue.

🏞️ MORE THAN JUST A GEL-BLASTER ARENA

What makes XShot Games stand out is the amount of extra space and activities available on-site. Instead of dropping kids into a single-use venue, you’re stepping into a multi-activity property that includes:

🏊 A 25m swimming pool
⛳ A mini golf course
🔥 An outdoor braai area
☕ A coffee shop
🎉 An indoor entertainment area for breaks, snacks or cake

This gives parents more options when planning: you can stick to a high-energy gel-blaster session, or build a full afternoon around swimming, mini golf, and relaxed time around the braai. It’s especially useful if you expect siblings or mixed-age groups — everyone has something to do.

🎁 PARTY PACKAGES THAT KEEP PLANNING SIMPLE

XShot Games offers three main packages, each with a fixed time slot and number of games:

🔹 Half Arena (2–10 kids): 1.5 hours, includes 5 game rounds.
🔹 Full Arena (11–20 kids): Same duration, more space for larger groups.
🔹 Ultimate Package (~40 people): 5 hours, 10 games, and full venue access.

Everything is clearly laid out, which helps when budgeting and managing expectations. Equipment like face masks and team bibs is provided, and you’re encouraged to arrive a few minutes early so the group can start on time.

🎉 IDEAL FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES, TEAM BUILDING, AND FAMILY EVENTS

While most families book the venue for birthday parties, XShot Games also works well for:

🔹 Parent–child outings
🔹 Year-end school functions
🔹 Sports team celebrations
🔹 Corporate team-building days
🔹 Family reunions with lots of kids

Because it’s outdoors and active, it suits children who enjoy running, strategising, and competing — and it’s a great way to channel all that high-energy excitement into something structured and fun.

📋 WHAT PARENTS SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOOKING

A few details worth noting (and double-checking when you schedule):

🔹 Catering is by arrangement, so ask what is allowed and whether you need to bring your own food, cake, and drinks.
🔹 The arena is outdoors, so pack sunscreen, hats, and water for warmer days.
🔹 No special gear is needed; comfortable clothing and closed shoes are enough.
🔹 There is no waterplay included, even though there is a pool — activity access depends on the package.
🔹 Always confirm whether your booking includes exclusive use of the party area, especially for weekends.
