Charly’s Bakery, established in 1989 by Charly and Jacqui Biess, began as a restaurant in Thibault Square, Cape Town. The bakery later moved to the V&A Waterfront, where it gained popularity for its breakfasts and lunch buffets. Seeking a more focused venture, the Biess family transitioned to a wholesale cake bakery in Roeland Street. The enticing aromas from their creations attracted local office workers, prompting the bakery to reopen to the public with a specialisation in beautifully crafted cakes, cookies and cupcakes.
Now, Charly’s Bakery evolved from a small wholesale bakery to a well-known place-to-be in Cape Town. They offer a diverse selection of baked goods and related items, including:
