Milton Beach & Tidal Pool / Sea Point

If you happen to be in Sea Point, make sure to stop by at Milton Beach. It is a sandy beach with a large seawater tidal pool which separates the beach from the sea by a rocky shelf. There are parking areas and ablution facilities close by, as well as drinking fountains that are popular rest stops for walkers and joggers.

The water of the 862 square meter tidal pool is shallow and easy accessible which makes it a perfect spot for families with younger children. There is also a small playground not far behind the public toilets with jungle gym and swings (currently broken). But it’s still fun for the kids to stop by for a little play session at the beach.

There is also a little mobile coffee shop right in front of the beach where you can grab a drink or two before you keep on “beaching”.

Although the beach is considered safe for swimming too, it is recommended that beach goers only swim where and when a lifeguard is on duty.

Dogs are not allowed, unfortunately.
