Let’s start this one with a fun fact: Bellevue’s vineyard produced the world’s first commercially bottled Pinotage. So why not go there and try some more of their award winning wines?

The wine estate is in the hands of the Morkel family who planted pinotage grapes at large scale at Bellevue as early as 1953 and hence played a big part in establishing Pinotage as South Africa’s signature grape variety.

Like most of the wine estates in this region, the facility features a restaurant as well as a tasting room and it’s up to you where you would like to fill up your bellies first.

Here comes a great special: At the restaurant they offer very unique wine tasting options which you should definitely try while you’re there. They offer a Chocolate Truffle & Wine Pairing (R145 per person) as well as a Gin Tasting (R100 per person): TASTINGS

While talking about play areas for the kids: you’ll find the original playground right in front of the restaurant and tasting area where the kids can swing around in big tree swings and explore the jungle gym which is conveniently shaded by big trees and providing cover on those hot summer days. There are also lush green lawns to run around and play hide and seek or other fun games. They kids will love it and they now can make a choice between two amazing play areas!
