If you want to enjoy a divine dining experience in the heart of Cape Town, then Cafè Paradiso located on trendy Kloof Street, is a must visit. With Table Mountain as a beautiful backdrop to the garden scenery, you can sit back and unwind from the busy city hustle.
The restaurant menu offers a variety of extraordinary dishes that are inspired by some foreign fare such as Gyros chicken, cauliflower on pita bread, prawn risotto and much more. They recently added authentic Italian pizza choices to their menu and you can enjoy truly delicious wood-fired pizzas.
Although the restaurant doesn’t feature a playground or play area for children, it’s still very family-friendly (including your pet friends who are welcome to come along). The kids menu offers a selection of different activities that the kids can enjoy during your visit.
They will have the option to bake their very own pizza or they can decorate cupcakes with butter icing, style a Gingerbread men or make some choc chip cookies. The friendly staff will accompany them to the kitchen where they can get entertained by the activity of their choice. It’s lots of fun to get involved differently and become a little chef during their visit.
The kids’ projects can be done until 20:00 every day.

We visited Cafe Paradiso for some early dinner and ordered a pear salad and some camembert. The kids were super excited to make their own pizza and they enjoyed every part of it. They rolled their ow dough, put on the tomato base, added the cheese and decided on their preferred toppings. The pizza was ready in no time and they finished it all, because home-made pizza is simply the best! So we all had a great experience and didn’t have to drive far for a family-friendly dining experience.
