If you happen to be near the Cape Peninsula and are looking for a chilled spot to have some lunch or dinner, we can totally recommend the Cape Farmhouse Beer Garden. It’s a bit hidden from the street and you certainly don’t pass it by coincidence, but it’s 100% worth a visit if you’re into chilled vibes, juicy burgers and some draught beer. You can find pictures of the menu in the picture gallery below.

The bar and kitchen are out in the open right next to the seating area which is covered by a huge tent that provides shade in summer and protects you from wind and rain on those cooler days. From there, you can also keep an eye on the small playground on top of the hill where the kids find swings, a slide and bars to play with. It’s not the newest playground, but our kids enjoyed it anyways and had fun playing on the lawn and picking some flowers for Mom 🙂

On top of that, the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered three different burgers with chips and they were so fabulous, that we even ordered a fourth one just because we couldn’t get enough of it. The wine and beer were enjoyable too and we had a great time and good company. If you’re afraid of dogs, you need to be a bit cautious. There are farm dogs wandering around the place and keeping an eye on the guests. All of them are super friendly and relaxed and our kids loved cuddling and playing with them.
