The Chilled Market is scenically situated between Tokai Forest and the wine farms in the Constantia Valley. It’s 100% family-friendly and boasts magical vineyard and mountain views all around.

The food vendors and the live music is housed under a tent where you can also take a seat on colder days or simply if you want to enjoy the good vibes inside. Otherwise, grab a seat in the beautiful outside area where also all the kiddies entertainment takes place.

At the end of the market, you will find a huge jumping castle in front of another tent which is the dedicated kids zone. Inside, you will find more inflatables to jump on, a little craft station where you can draw, a ball pit and a sand art station. The little ones can also get their favourite slushies, some sweet treats and popcorn. A play session costs R30 per child, the parents need to leave their contact details with the child-minders and the little ones will receive a wristband with a number in case they are looking for their parents.

While the kids are busy, Mom and Dad (and other adults of course) can sit down, relax and enjoy a yummy dish from the selection of food vendors. You get anything from sushi, to Asian noodles, pizza, burgers, Dim Sum, Mexican, Ribs or Waffles.

At the bar, you find all kinds of cool drinks including craft beer, wine or gin. You can basically get anything you’re craving for – even hot drinks if you’re keen.

Dogs are also welcome, but should be kept on a leash. They must be kid-friendly and behave well. This is especially important when the market is visited by the neighbours in the wood next door. We often saw baboons invading the market looking for something to eat and even walking into the food tent. But don’t worry, there are rangers on site who take care of the baboons (in a most friendly way) and try to keep them away. So if you ever happen to see baboons at the market, don’t feed them or try to get close to them. They are wild animals!
