If you love the decadent French styles and luxurious taste, then you will be in absolute awe at the Chocolat Bistro in Durbanville. Although the building looks rather inconspicuous on the outside, the interior will blow your mind!

This is a serious French affair at it’s best and you’ll be greeted by decadent interiors, impressive chandeliers, vintage furniture and a delicious menu. The French influence is visible in every small detail and it’s an absolute pleasure to discovering it all.

The restaurant has a small garden in the front and a huge inviting backyard where you can also park your car safely. Take a seat at the vintage furniture and dive right into the French inspired menu. They serve breakfast from 07:00 – 12:00 followed by light lunch options, mezze platters, pizzas, salads, mains or freshly baked sweet treats on their dessert menu. They also have a couple of kiddies options available.

The backyard also features an impressive kiddies play area which consists of an entire castle. You can slide down a huge slide, it has a baby slide too and a very cute little indoor play area full of toys and books and things to explore.

You are also more than welcome to bring along your fur babies. They can expect a lot of special treats and their very own doggie menu.

The first time we got there, we were kind of unlucky because the entire venue was booked for a wedding party. Since the place is absolutely amazing, you can also book it for a private party or function. You can contact them directly for enquiries.
