If you’ve never heard of Dalebrook before, don’t worry. Me neither, but it’s actually not far away from town and Dalebrook Tidal Pool is situated between St James and Kalk Bay.

It is probably one of the most loved tidal pools in and around Cape Town as it is easy accessible and shallow water. Many regulars go there frequently and take a nice morning dip in the cold water. Luckily, Bob’s Bagel Cafe or Dalebrook Cafe are not far away, so that you can enjoy a nice coffee or breakfast right afterwards.

It also features changing rooms and a shower and best of all: it is protected from the southeaster. This makes it a perfect family spot.
