CU Kids at D’Aria Winery in Durbanville is a family-friendly destination where kids can enjoy fun activities while parents relax in the beautiful Winelands setting. A great spot for a relaxed family day out with plenty to keep little ones entertained.
Our Take
D’Aria is a beautiful wine estate in Durbanville with a lot on offer for young and old. While you can choose from different restaurants and sceneries on the Estate, they also have a dedicated kid’s venue under the name CU Kids. So this makes it a perfect family destination and you surely will enjoy your time.
The Restaurants
D’Aria is home to Patina Steak & Fine Wine as well as Botany Lounge. While Patina is a classy destination that invites relaxation and comfort, Botany is an upmarket cocktail lounge which serves delicious drinks in a cozy and elegant atmosphere. They also have a dedicated Wine Tasting Room where you can get a taste of their award winning wines combined with delicious snack platters.
Opening Times for Patina and Botany: Monday – Thursday: 12pm – 11pm, Friday & Saturday: 11am – 11pm, Sunday: 11am – 5:30pm
Bookings for both venues are essential.
CU Kids
CU Kids is a safe and secure outdoor play park for children of all ages conveniently located on the D’Aria Wine Estate. The park is fully equipped with swings, slides, a massive jungle gym and apparatus that will keep the kids busy for hours. They also have a little tuck shop in the park where you can order selected food items and drinks during your stay.

The park entrance is R100 per child. Kids under the age of 2 are allowed to enter for free. Please note that the play area is not suitable for children over the age of 13 and children under the age of 5 need to be supervised by a parent at all times. Pets are not allowed in the kid’s play area.
CU Kids is open Friday to Sunday between 11am and 5pm as well as on Public Holidays and School Holidays.

We often went to D’Aria to sit down at their lovely wine tasting room and enjoy yummy cheese platters with their incredible wines. The kid’s venue is a lovely bonus and the kids enjoyed playing there a lot! The facilities are great and the play area is really big with a lot of different apparatus to play with. Since our children are still young and under the age of 5, we needed to stay with them at CU Kids to supervise them. In the play area itself, they serve a delicious reduced menu of the restaurant as well as selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You have to pay an entrance fee per child in order for them to play there, but there is no time limit attached to it and you can stay as long as you want during their opening times.
