Nestled along the historic Piekenierskloof Pass stands the oldest farm stall along the N7. De Tol Farm Deli’s history dates back to 1864 when the building acted as a supply station and pitstop to many travellers. Even today, it’s a pleasant stop for the entire family and you can expect delicious food, delectable wines and beautiful locally produced goods in the shop.

The Deli menu offers a variety of affordable dishes ranging from the traditional Roosterkoek, toasted sandwiches, wraps, cheese platters, flatbreads and pancakes. You’ll also get fantastic coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, milkshakes and alcoholic beverages.

The best part is the generous lawn area with wooden benches all around the garden and situated under an old oaktree that spends shade on hot summer days. The kids can run around, play hide and seek or go play at the huge playground. There, they will find a jungle gym, miniature play houses, interesting wine barrel swings and slide.

The place is 100% family- (and dog) friendly and you can easily spend an entire afternoon relaxing from your trip and enjoying great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

As a highlight, you’ll find a large range of Carmién Tea in the shop and you can indulge yourself in a unique tea tasting and pairing experience while you are there.
