Our Take
After being completely revamped, the Deer Park Cafe in Vredehoek finally opened its gates again and parents in the hood couldn’t be more excited. The renovation has been a great success and you and the kids can enjoy delicious meals, cocktails and sweet treats at the new Deer Park Cafe.
While Moms and Dads and Nannies alike can enjoy the generous seating area inside and outside, the kids have a huge open space for them to play. The play area features swings, a huge slide, different jungle gyms, chess tables, a carousel and lots of open space to explore nature.
Dogs are welcome, too! Your furry friend can meet other dogs at the park. Just make sure to clean up after Number 2 so that the kiddies can still enjoy the green lawns and run around freely!

This is a safe space for the kids to play in the park while you can enjoy a delicious cake and coffee or even a healthy lunch. The play area is not really shaded, so make sure to bring a hat and sunscreen on a hot day, but otherwise it’s a lovely spot to arrange play dates, get-togethers and even birthday parties. Unfortunately, the playground hasn’t been revamped and has aged quite a bit by now. But it’s still save to play there and the children will probably love it anyways.
