Wine Tastings

Diemersfontein is best known for their Coffee Chocolate Pinotage – a bold red wine that smells and tastes like coffee and chocolate. It sounds crazy, but it works – and it’s become one of their best-selling wines! Along with this unique Pinotage, they also offer many other wines in different styles and price ranges. Whether you prefer something light and fruity or full and rich, you’ll find something to love.

You’ll get to choose from their Diemersfontein Original range, the Flagship Carpe Diem range, as well as the Thokozani Range.

The tasting room is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4.30pm.
Bookings are advisable due to limited seating space in the Tasting Room.

The SMUL Restaurant

There’s also a lovely restaurant on the farm where you can enjoy seasonal dishes made with fresh, local ingredients — the perfect match for your glass of wine. At SMUL Restaurant, families are more than welcome.

The cozy inside dining area features a crackling fire place that will keep you warm in winter. During the summer months, you’ll be able to enjoy their lovely shaded deck that is offering sweeping views of the farm below and the Paarl mountains in the distance.

Kids can burn off some energy on the large jungle gym or run wild on the spacious lawns before enjoying a bite from the special children’s menu. They will discover a (fake) rhino & giraffe as well as some real bokkies. The atrium is extra fun and they can run around and get lost in play.

The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
