Our Take
Doodles Beachfront Restaurant is a super family-friendly spot with an indoor play area and unbeatable views of Table Mountain in Bloubergstrand. From their enclosed bottom deck, you’ll enjoy epic panoramic views of Table Mountain and the bay, with the sun setting right behind Robben Island—a view you’ll never forget.
Their menu is huge, offering something for everyone—salads, burgers, pizzas, light meals, meat, fish, sweet treats… you name it! And yes, the little ones have their own kiddies menu too. You can find all their menu options online including the A La Carte Menu, Drinks Menu, Specials and even a Pensioner Menu.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week from 9am to 11pm.
But the best part for the kids: Their revamped indoor play area, packed with fun for all ages. Older kids can dive into computer games, while the younger ones can climb, slide, swing, draw, or chill out with kid-friendly movies on their own TV.
This spot is a must-visit, and we’re excited to add it to our list of favourites.

This is the perfect spot for some relaxed weekend vibes. You can watch the beach and get spectacular views of Table Mountain while you sip your wine or beer and enjoy fabulous food. The kids loved the new play area and it’s really something in there for kids of all ages. There are no childminders on duty, so you will need to keep an eye on the little ones. The beach is just across the road, so while we were waiting for the food to arrive, we took a little stroll on the beach to soak in Table Mountain views. The enclosed deck at the restaurant is just perfect to protect you from rain and wind and still be able to look outside the windows. The food was delicious, the atmosphere great and this is definitely one of our new go-to spots on that side of town.
