Earthworx is an amazing garden center with lots of different plants and equipment to choose from. Whether you are an experienced gardener or beginner, you will surely find something to take home on your visit. Earthworx offers a variety of indigenous and exotic trees, succulents, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, herbs and vegetables. They also sell garden accessories (such as pots, ornaments and water features) and gardening implements on offer.

The highlight for families (and ultimately the kids) is their amazing play park. It features differently sized zip lines, a massive wooden jungle gym, various slides, climbing features, sand pit, fireman pole and more! The lovely childminders on duty make sure that the little ones can play safely and can assist if necessary.

The entrance to the play park is R50 per day and you can also choose from different bundle options in case you keep coming back for more play time. Earthworx Play Park offers the following three bundle options:

• 10 plays (10 entries @ R300)
• 20 plays (20 entries @ R450)

There is a little cafe and shop right next to the play park where the parents can sit down and relax while the kids are having a great time playing. At Roots Farm Shoppe, you can indulge in delicious food, amazing coffee, fresh fruit juices and smoothies. The shop at Roots is also selling a variety of products, fresh produce and baked goods from in and around Hout Bay. So that’s your chance to support the local community. The Farm Shoppe is overlooking the play park and even offers free Wifi.

You are also able to host kiddies birthday parties at the play park. It’s a lovely venue and if you don’t mind organising your own catering, it’s the perfect location for a fun and relaxed birthday party.
