This restaurant and pit stop is located along the most scenic routes in South Africa and is only about 5km out of Gordons Bay. When you make a turn to the dedicated parking spot, you might be greeted by a bunch of bikers taking a break or families enjoying the day out in this beautiful setting. The Grille Shack is a 1950’s Pump Diner inspired restaurant with a “lekker” South African twist.  They welcome petrolheads, road-trippers, families, adventurers, hikers, locals, free spirits, cyclists, tourists and well behaved pets.

For those who just want to grab a quick coffee along the road, the tuck stop is the perfect place to take a quick break. If you come by with some more time at your hands, you can enter this magical place which is rich of vintage items. The lobby features a miniature collection of James Bond Cars, you can hop on an old scale to see how much you can eat and greet an old vintage car named “Annie” in the outside seating area.

The menu is long and has a little something for every taste. You can either enjoy a hearty breakfast or come for lunch. Salads, Burgers, Meat and a kiddies menu are waiting for you.

The garden area also features a little play area for the kids. They can play on the lawn, practice their balance on the wobbly surfboards, let their imagination run wild in the play tractors, jump their hearts out on the trampolines or simply explore the garden.

There is also a little gift shop for young and old where you can grab some cute souvenirs on your way home.
