Maison Play Café

Maison Play Café is a thoughtfully designed indoor play and café space in Milnerton. Designed for children aged 0 to 10, the venue features seven distinct play zones:

Mini Maison is the dedicated under-3 zone, with soft surfaces, a sensory wall, ball pit, step piano, mini slide, and educational wall toys — everything age-appropriate and gated off from the bigger-kid chaos.

Treasure Sand Bay brings the beach vibes indoors, filled with soft white PP sand that’s non-toxic and designed to stay contained. If you’ve ever spent a weekend afternoon vacuuming actual beach sand out of a car seat, you’ll understand why this is genius.

Maison Boutique is the dress-up zone: gowns, tiaras, accessories, a selfie station. It’s very extra. Kids love it.

The Dynamic Activity Zone has multi-level climbing structures and a big slide for the kids who need to burn serious energy.

Maison Mart is a miniature supermarket complete with trolleys, groceries to “shop,” and a checkout till. Role play, fine motor skills, and an eerie preview of what grocery shopping will feel like in 20 years.

Maison Garage is the car repair station — kids can fix tyres and “check engines,” which feels like a good life skill to start early.

Maison Mini Harvest rounds things out with a fruit and veg picking zone, where little ones sort their “harvest” and learn where food actually comes from.

Pricing (2026)

Entry is booked online via time slot (to manage flow), but once you’re in, there’s no clock watching.

Grip socks are compulsory for everyone in the play area (including caregivers) and cost R40 per pair at reception. Pre-walking babies are exempt. No outside food or drinks are permitted — the café handles that.

Weekends fill up fast since the venue also hosts parties, so booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Birthday Parties at Maison

If you’re looking for a birthday venue for ages 0–10, Maison offers a standard birthday party (exclusive party room for 3 hours) for R5,990 for up to 10 kids OR an exclusive hire of the entire space. The weekday package costs R13,500 and includes:

• Exclusive use of Maison Play Café for 4 hours (including setup and wrap-up time)
• Full play café access for all guests
• Kids-only table and chair setup
• Maison signature grip socks and play passes for all children
• Personalised welcome message displayed on screen
• Clean backdrop panels and a dedicated party pack display shelf for self-decoration
• Cake stand set

The package covers up to 30 children. Additional kids can be added at R380 per child, up to a maximum of 50.

You’re welcome to bring your own decorations, cake, and food platters. Outside beverages aren’t permitted, but food and drinks can also be ordered directly from the café. Adult grip socks aren’t included in the party package and can be purchased on the day.

• Children must be accompanied by a caregiver — adults without children cannot enter.
