Melkbossie is a farm animal sanctuary with a beautiful, family friendly venue and lots of things to do and experience! Of course, the highlight of the venue are the many different farm animals that got a beautiful home at Melkbossie and are loved and cared for. The children can feed and pet various animals and experience a close encounter with the cutest bunnies, horses, goats and sheep, pigs and free roaming ducks and chickens. They charge a small entrance fee of R20. So make sure to support this amazing place by joining in on the activities and feeding the animals.

They also have a beautiful coffee shop and kids play area. The generous playground is equipped with swings, a slide, jungle gym, play tractor, monkey bars and plenty of sand to bring along your sand toys. Another fun activity for the kids is the 9-course putt putt area. You can play for free and enjoy a fun competition with the entire family.

In the coffee shop, you cannot only grab a small bite to eat and some drinks, but you can also get the different food bags for the animals. They cost R10 each and are specifically filled with goodies for the different animals. That way, Melkbossie makes sure that all animals get appropriate food and the animals stay fit and healthy.

On top of all the fun things to do, they also offer pony rides three times a day. You can do a horseback ride for R20 at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Tickets are available at the coffee shop.
