Paarl’s newest indoor adventure park for little ones has landed at Winelands Square Shopping Centre, and if you’ve got kids between 0 and 7 years old, you’re going to want to check out Mini Ninja.
What Is Mini Ninja?
Mini Ninja is a purpose-built adventure and play space for children aged 0 to 7 — think climbing, jumping, balancing, bouncing, sliding and general small-human chaos, all contained in a safe, supervised, and (crucially) enclosed environment.
It’s part of the Total Ninja family — you may know Total Ninja as the big-kid obstacle course experience that’s already got venues across South Africa. Mini Ninja is essentially Total Ninja’s adorable little sibling: same energy, smaller obstacles, more padding.
What’s Inside?
Discovery Den & Ninja Adventure Trail
This is the brain-tickling zone — sensory play, interactive obstacles, and little challenges that get kids thinking and reacting. There’s a Bounce & Tap Zone where lights appear and change and kids have to react to them (great for coordination, also great for burning the kind of energy that would otherwise be directed at your furniture). There’s also a Puzzle Wall for the quieter, more contemplative little Ninjas who prefer to sort their chaos mentally rather than physically.
Wobble Works
Exactly what it sounds like. Suspension bridges that sway, stepping stones, and a Climb Zone — all designed to build balance, coordination, and that beautiful look of total concentration on a toddler’s face as they try not to fall into the padding. They always fall into the padding. That’s the point.
Happy Hub
The social zone: a Ball Fountain, an Airtight Seesaw, and LED slides that light up as kids come shooting down them.
Café & Restaurant
There’s a café and restaurant on-site with proper breakfast and lunch options, real coffee, and a spectator area where you can sit, breathe, and watch your child’s face light up without having to follow them through a foam obstacle course yourself. (Though if your child is under 3, you will be in the thick of it with them — more on that below.)
Tickets & Prices
Mini Ninja has two play pass options depending on your child’s age:
Grown-Up & Me Pass (Ages 0–3) Kids under 4 must have a participating adult alongside them — which is actually lovely at this age, even if your back disagrees later.
- 1 Hour: R250 (1 child + 1 adult)
- 2 Hours: R340 (best value — saves you R90 vs two 1-hour sessions)
Adventure Play Pass (Ages 4–7) Older kids can explore independently, with the Mini Ninja team supervising throughout.
- 1 Hour: R160
- 2 Hours: R250
One thing to note: grip socks are required for all participants and cost R45 per pair at the venue. They’re yours to keep and reuse, so tuck them in the nappy bag once you’ve been the first time. There are also Multi-Visit Passes if you can already tell this is going to become a regular fixture in your family’s rotation (and you probably can).
Birthday Parties
Mini Ninja offers three packages, all per child (ages 0–7):
Mini Ninja Play Party – R299/child The entry-level option: 2 hours in the park, reserved party booth, dedicated host, personalised digital invitations, themed tableware, mini margherita pizza, bottled water, socks, headband, sticker sheet, and a complimentary 1-hour return pass for the birthday child. Minimum 5 kids on weekdays.
Mini Ninja Power Party – R399/child (most popular) Everything in the Play Party, plus: a reserved party booth, choice of food (pizza, chicken tenders & fries, or quesadilla & fries), boxed juice added to drinks, and pick ‘n mix sweets. The sweet spot between “sorted” and “extra special.”
Mini Ninja Ultimate Party – R499/child Private party room, choice of food including a mini beef burger option, fruit slushy option, fresh fruit platter, a Mini Ninja Adventure Box take-home gift for every child, and a double return pass for the birthday child. For when you want the day to feel genuinely memorable and you’d also like someone else to carry the mental load.
All packages include a dedicated party host and coordinator — which is code for “a human being who will handle the chaos so you don’t have to.” Bring your own cake, or add one of their celebration cakes. You can also add-on return passes for all guests, food platters for adults, and Ninja merchandise.

- No outside food — but there’s an on-site café for parents and kids.
- Spectators are free — only participants need tickets and socks.
