Mulderbosch Vineyards in Stellenbosch is a beautiful wine farm surrounded by vineyards and stunning Winelands scenery. Enjoy a relaxed family outing with good food, wine and plenty of space to take in the peaceful surroundings.
Our Take
This is a relaxed wine estate with beautiful views, a fantastic outside seating area, a huge playground with open green lawns and two bocce courts.
So when you’re lucky, grad a table outside and indulge in a pleasant wine tasting (you get to choose 4 wines) and some lunch. The menu is quite simple: you get a choice of delicious wood-fired pizza, burger with fries, a cheese platter or something sweet as a dessert. I love it when the options are limited and decisions can be made quickly.
While the adults relax on the deck or play a game of bocce, the kids can have some great fun too. There is a large playground right next to the restaurant with a lovely jungle gym that features 2 slides, monkey bars, swings and some climbing opportunities. The lawn in front is inviting the little ones to start their own ball games or simply run around and burn off some energy.
Important: This is a cashless facility. Payment options are card, SnapScan, Zapper or EFT. A discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to each on-premise bill.

We love this place as the kids keep themselves busy at the playground or try their luck at throwing some bocce balls. The food is yummy and you can enjoy your wine over spectacular views of the vineyard. You can also make use of their free Wifi in case you need it. We’ve been to the restaurant twice and always had a great experience. However, it can become a bit windy there (not sure if this is just a co-incidence). So when sitting outside, maybe take along a light jacket and some hats and sunscreen for the kids.
