Profile
Occupied Play Lab in Gardens was built by occupational therapists and neuro-developmental professionals — which means that every piece of this space was designed with an actual purpose, not just “kids like jumping on things.”
The whole concept is “purposeful play” — play that’s quietly doing a lot of developmental heavy lifting while your child just thinks they’re having fun. Kids can learn and explore different movements, sensory exploration, creativity, social interaction, and even things like executive functioning and confidence-building, all folded into activities that don’t feel like therapy at all.
It’s a calm, well-designed space rather than a sensory-overload funhouse, which honestly might be its biggest selling point. If you’ve got a child who finds typical play centres a bit much — too loud, too bright, too much stimulation at once — this sounds like exactly the kind of environment built with that in mind. It is most suitable for children aged 0-10 years old.
Birthday parties
They also host birthday parties on-site, which — if you’ve ever tried to wrangle ten hyped-up five-year-olds in your own lounge — might be reason enough on its own to check them out. Enquiries go through WhatsApp or email (events@occupiedplay.com), so it’s a quick message rather than a whole admin process.
