Our Take
By now, Ou Meul Bakkery has made a name for itself in the Western Cape and everyone simply loves the old school farmstall experience. Ou Meul combines the idea of a Deli, Bakery and Restaurant in one place and you can find anything from Sourdoughs and Ciabattas to Croissants and Rusks, a large variety of fresh and local products as well as quality food from their kitchen.
No matter if you are shopping for some special items and gifts or sit down for a full menu – you won’t be disappointed.
In the outside area, the kids will find a huge lawn with plenty of space to run around as well as a fun jungle gym with swings, a slide and climbing walls. There is also a shaded sandpit for the little ones, and you can bring along some sand toys to add to the fun.

It’s a pretty great venue even though it’s right next to gas station and main road. Due to the huge lawn and wide open space, it still feels pretty much secluded and the kids can run around safely while you enjoy your meals. Our kids loved the little tree house and amazing jungle gym. It’s a great place to stop by when you happen to be in that area.
