Peter Falke has a deep passion for wine and hence decided to embark on a new venture in the South African wine industry. In 1995, he purchased a historic wine farm in Stellenbosch and dedicated himself to producing exceptional wines that would capture the essence of the terroir. Together with his French wife Danièle, he created this beautiful place in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands.
One of the defining features of Peter Falke Wine Estate is its exceptional terroir. The estate is situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, which provide a unique microclimate and soil composition that are ideal for grape cultivation. Visiting the Estate
Visiting Peter Falke Wine Estate is a memorable experience. Wine enthusiasts can choose from various tasting options, including guided tastings and wine and cheese pairings. There’s also an onsite boutique where you can purchase their wines to take home as a souvenir.
If you’re hungry, you can choose from a lovely menu and take a bite in this beautiful surrounding. They do have a kiddies menu as well and some really nice ice cream with chocolate sauce and smarties. Who can say no to this?
While you can sip on your wines, the kids are free to run around or burn off some energy on the playground. They will find a fun jungle gym, swings, a slide and a fun giant chair to jump off and climb.

We were positively surprised when we re-visited the Peter Falke Estate as there was a brand new playground and giant chair for kiddies entertainment. The garden with the well-spaced seating area is perfect for a relaxed weekend afternoon where you can enjoy some delicious food and wine. They also have a kiddies menu and ice cream option. So it’s a win win situation for the whole family.
