Wonderdal Edutainment Centre is the first and only of its kind in South Africa that effortlessly combines learning with play. Wonderdal is suitable for kids aged 5-13 and is conveniently located at the Hazendal Wine Estate where you can enjoy the beautiful views and many different dining options while your kids can have some massive fun at this educational indoor and outdoor play park. Wonderdal is fully supervised and curriculum aligned meaning kids can experience a journey through the worlds of science, nutrition, nature and technology. Learning through play is fun and entertaining and the many specific learning zones make it easy and interesting to follow along. The building is packed with interactive games, immersive experiences, and outdoor adventure.

So even on rainy days or for a kid’s birthday party, this will be a fabulous venue to experience an interesting and fascinating world of wonder. The colourful Amuki characters make it easy to follow along and play a big part in the Wonderdal theme. Kids usually go through the experience all by themselves with the help of fully trained staff referred to as WonderPals. For a fully 2-hour supervised session you will have to pay R125 on a low day (Tue-Thu) or R190 on a peak day (Fri-Sun). The fully supervised one hour play session is available at R85 and R140, respectively. Learning Zones

At Wonderdal, children will find seven interactive learning zones which they can go through in their own time and sequence. So whatever station they enjoy the most, they can spend as much time as they like on the different activities.

Tinker Workshop

At the Tinker Workshop station kids can play around with the different forms of energies such as wind, electricity and kinetics. A child-safe electric circuitry, a marble run and a wind-tunnel make it fun to experience different forces and train the children’s fine motor skills.

Tree of Light

At the Tree of Light children can create an impressive light and sound display through the clever use of a hand-crank energy game. Furthermore, they can climb the trunk of the tree and relax in the inside nets that form the tree canopy.

Wonder Garden

This station is all about gardening, plant growth and processes, different types of vegetables and fruits and the learning of bio diversity. Such an important thing to understand for children where their food is actually coming from!

Health Kitchen

As much as is it important to learn about plants and gardening, nutrition also plays a major role in our lives. To cater for that knowledge, kids can have fun in the health kitchen where they can process, cook, bake and blend different foods and discover the benefits of a healthy and balanced meal.

Story Cave

An abundance of books and podcasts are waiting for the little adventurers at the Story Cave. They can snuggle in cozy nooks and listen to podcasts about the life adventures and challenges of the Amuki and the creatively clever ways they go about these challenges. It is also the place where the WonderPals do book readings with the children.

Brain Teaser Island

If the little ones are looking for a challenge, then they will absolutely enjoy this station. Logic games will stimulate their critical thinking and enhance the problem-solving skills.

Wildlands

This outside space is perfect to train gross motor skills, balance and spatial orientation. Children can challenge their physical aptitude and enjoy the free play.

Kiddies Birthday Parties

Wonderdal is the perfect party location for children turning 6 to 12 years old. With a minimum party crowd of 5 kids, you can choose your favourite party time slot and birthday package.
