Primi Piatti / Sea Point

The biggest play area inside a restaurant we know of.

Sadly, Primi Sea Point closed its doors for good in January 2023!

Whenever it’s raining outside and we ask our kids where we wanna go eat, the answer is usually always the same: Primi in Sea Point. Many of you probably know the restaurant chain “PRIMI PIATTI” already, but if you want to eat in peace while your children are playing, then you must certainly try the one in Sea Point. They have a whole kiddies section upstairs with a massive indoor play area attached to the restaurant. It features a jumping castle, a small climbing wall, tables for some creative work, rope swings and soft building blocks. The whole set up is ideal for especially younger children and we always have to drag out ours because they never want to leave.

Of course, they do have a kiddies menu as well. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. You cannot go wrong with the spaghetti bolognese and we highly recommend the Apple Berry Mint Iced Tea. Absolutely delicious!

Our Experience

Always fun times, super helpful staff, good food and lots of fun for the kids. You dine without a view, but that’s nevertheless worth it. We only go there on cold and rainy days so that we don’t have to feel bad about sitting inside. When I remember correctly, they sometimes have a DJ there on Friday nights. That’s when it gets super noisy and you have to yell at each other in order to communicate. But now that we know that, we simply avoid those days.
