The Play Shed is a cute little indoor and outdoor play park for kids aged 0 – 12 years old. It’s housed in the Oude Molen Eco Village where you and the little ones can discover many more attractions during your stay and easily spend an entire day there.
The Play Shed boasts various means of activities for the children. The major play area consists of a double story jungle gym, with ball pond, slides, climbing tunnels, balance beam, climbing nets and punch bags.
The toddler zone for under 3 year olds is a separate section for babies with padded mats, a mini ball pond and age appropriate toys and activities.
The older children can make use of the additional play areas which are equipped with a kitchenette, play fruit & veg shop, workshop, dress-up, dolls, bikes, building blocks, puzzles, cars and games.
While the kids are playing, the adults can grab a coffee, snack or light meal from the coffee shop inside. They serve a complete range of coffees, teas and drinks, together with light lunches, delicious in-house cakes, snacks and an all-day breakfast menu.
The play rates are also super fair where babies until 6 months old enter the venue for free. Older babies from 7 months to 12 months pay R40 an hour and reduced fares for the following hour. 1 to 2 year olds pay R45 for the first hour, and older kids from 3 years plus pay R50. They also run a few specials:
- On a Wednesday, the kids will be able to draw a ticket from the bucket and stand a chance to win a prize.
- On Thursday, Nannies will receive a free cup of coffee / tea + muffin between 9am – 12pm
Kiddies Birthday Parties
In 5 simple steps, you can organise a perfect birthday party for a minimum of 10 tiny guests at the Play Shed.
Step 1: Pick your favourite party time slot. Inside: 09:30 – 11:30 OR 12:15 – 14:15 OR 15:00 – 17:00. If you prefer the outside venue, the time slots are 10:30 – 12:30 OR 14:00 – 16:00
Step 2: Choose your favourite party package. You have to choose from 4 different options.

Step 3: Add a theme and/or exclusive venue use. If you want a specific party theme for your child, you can add this for R25 per child. At an additional cost, you can also book the entire venue for exclusive use during your party.
Step 4: You can add quite a few extra treats for the little ones if you want to. You can organise a birthday cake, cupcakes, hot kiddies meals or additional sweet treats. Check out the website for the individual pricing of the different items.
