Gelato Mania Gelateria / Camps Bay

When the sun is shining at Camps Bay Beach, it’s the perfect time for some ice cream. And luckily, Gelato Mania Gelateria has the perfect spot at the promenade. You can hop in, choose your favourite flavours and then walk just across the road to enjoy your ice cream at the beach.

Alternatively, you can also take a seat at the shop as they have some limited seating space available. The best thing about Gelato Mania: it’s open until 22:30 every day, so you can even get some late night ice cream if you’re in the mood for it! On top of that, they also serve other delicious sweet treats like waffles and pancakes!

Gelato Mania is a family-run business which had its origin in South Africa and since then produces traditional home-made Italian style ice cream for the Western Cape. Our Experience

Well, it’s Camps Bay, it’s a beautiful spot. But for our ice cream taste, the prices are just too high for a regular scoop of gelato. We give in when we’re at the beach and the kids are craving some ice-cream, but we really appreciate places that offer baby scoops. This one doesn’t, unfortunately.
