B.L.O.M Café @ The Pink Geranium Nursery / Stellenbosch

B.L.O.M Café was founded by Marlene & Jan Swartz and it is nestled beautifully into the scenery of The Pink Geranium Nursery in Stellenbosch. So if you are looking for new plants to take home and also would like to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or lunch at the cafe, this is the place to be as a one stop, travel, food and gardening experience.

While making your way through the nursery, you’ll come across a little shop which leads out to a beautiful terrace with lovely views and the most beautiful plants all over the place. Attached to the terrace, you will find a lovely play area for the children which is generously equipped with all sorts of toys and gear.

Besides the usual jungle gym, the kiddos can climb on giant tyres, go round on a mini carousel, practice their skills with hoops, dig in the sand or loose themselves in imaginary play in the huge play kitchen. There is so much to explore, that you can easily take your time there and the farm cat and a few chickens make it even more interesting to be around for the little ones.

While sipping on your coffee, you can always keep an eye on them as the play area is conveniently located next to the seating area.

Our Experience

We love plants and so do our children. So stopping by a nursery is nothing unusual for our family. We were positively surprised when we discovered this beautiful little cafe attached to the nursery and were amazed with the generous play area. We certainly did not expect it and the kids went wild during our stay. The play kitchen was the biggest hit for our daughter while our son enjoyed digging around in the sand with the little excavator. We had coffee and a late breakfast and absolutely loved it. The porch is super laid-back, the staff was extremely friendly and of course we took home some new plant babies after our visit. It was a fabulous find and we surely will come back for more.
