Bossa Buh-Rein / Kraaifontein

Bossa is a fantastic family-friendly restaurant chain in South Africa and you surely find a restaurant near you. We’ve visited the Bossa Goodtimes on Woodbridge Island, Burgundy Estate and this one so far.

Every time, we haven’t been disappointed and we were totally blown away by the fabulous play areas. Bossa Buh-Rein completely matches up to this standard and not only offers a generous play area with a jumping castle and jungle gym for the little ones and older kiddos, it also has a huge swimming pool which can be used during summer time!

Whether you choose to have your meal directly at the play area to supervise the children or pick a cozy table inside, you can always watch the kids play from where you are seated and keep a close eye on them – especially when they are going to use the pool. They do charge a small fee in order to be able to use the pool (R60 per person) which is fully used to pay the life guard on site.

Highlight: They do offer a dedicated kids’ menu and every Wednesday (all day) and Sunday until 4pm, kids under the age of 12 receive a free kiddies meal with each accompanying adult!

Our Experience

We had a lovely experience at Bossa Buh-Rein although it’s not your regular go-to place if you don’t live in that area. They have a lovely outside play area with a jumping castle, jungle gyms and swings. It’s very much suitable for younger children as well as the jungle gyms are toddler friendly and smaller than a regular jungle gym. The highlight for older children is the large pool right next to the play area. You will have to pay a small entrance fee to use it, but this looks like so much fun especially in summer, that it’s 100% worth it.
