Bugz Playpark / Kraaifontein

Indoor and outdoor fun for the entire family.

The Bugz Playpark is probably the biggest play park in the Cape Town area (at least that I know of). It’s absolutely huge and you can easily spend there the entire day without getting bored once. Kids of the age of 3 will be able to enjoy the whole fun (including all the fun rides the park has to offer) while the little ones can “only” enjoy the free stuff. However, the train ride is for everybody and included in each ticket price. It is a good start to get an overview of the park as it drives around the gated area.

Once you have seen the attractions from far, you can indulge in endless play opportunities. And the best thing is: it’s independent from the weather. Even on a cooler day the kids can still enjoy the large indoor play area with all the fun things you’d expect: a zip line, slides, swings and lots of climbing equipment.

But the outside is most spectacular, of course!

The party child’s parents and grandparents enter for free. All other adults pay an entry fee for themselves at the entrance or you can include it in your bill.

The available party slots are as follows: Saturday/Sunday/Public Holidays 10:00 – 12:00 or 14:00 – 16:00

Our Experience:

We literally spent the entire day there (10am to 4pm) and when I told the kids that we must go, they totally refused. Time was flying by so quickly and one day certainly isn’t enough to get through everything because of course kids want to repeat stuff over and over again. So we already spent at least 2 hours riding the worm train followed by the sliding horses. The queue at the zip lines takes you another 1 hour and so it goes on and on and on… When they’re done playing outside, they get exhausted at the indoor play area. When they’re sweaty enough to take a break from there, we go back outside and cool off at the splashing zone or have some ice cream. There is not enough space here to tell you how much you can do! So you must go and experience it yourself. Enjoy!
