Picnic Areas: Longridge offers designated picnic areas where families can enjoy a leisurely meal amidst the vineyards. You can either bring your own picnic or order one of their delectable picnic baskets in advance.
Playground: The estate has a safe and well-maintained playground that will keep your little ones entertained while you relax with a glass of wine.
Farm Animals: Kids will love meeting the resident farm animals, including chickens and ducks. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to connect with nature and learn about farm life. There is also a beautiful white horse on the farm.

The Rykaart’s Restaurant

The estate’s restaurant offers a delightful dining experience for the whole family. The menu features a variety of dishes to suit different tastes, including options for children. Ingredients are locally sourced and the focus is on creating delicious, fresh meals. Plus, the scenic outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a meal together while soaking in the breathtaking views. It’s a set three-course menu where children under 12 years old may enjoy a half potion of their set menu for half the price. Alternatively they will have a simple kids friendly meal and dessert available.

Our Experience

Although we didn’t enjoy the set menu on the day of our visit, we already know that we will be back to explore more of this beautiful estate and the wines and food it has to offer. While the kids were playing on the generous lawn and living their best lives on the playground, we enjoyed a 5 star wine tasting experience where every single glass was a winner. The wines are extraordinary and we took home a few bottles because they were just too good to be true. The surroundings are beautiful, the estate is exclusive and you will most certainly enjoy yourself. This is a place you want to take your family, friends and visitors to.
