The restaurant sits atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains. As you approach the restaurant, the lush gardens, elegant buildings, and tranquil atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

The ambiance at Mont Marie is a blend of rustic charm and contemporary elegance. The beautiful natural playground that can be found right next to the outdoor seating area is perfect for children of all ages and an additional bonus for this stunning restaurant.

The playground is equipped with a lot of nature play, but also includes a slide, a huge sand pit and other wooden things to explore. Some ducks and cute farm dogs are also running around in the play area and delighting everyone around.

The Cuisine

Mont Marie’s cuisine is a celebration of South African flavors, with a modern twist. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that pay homage to the country’s diverse culinary traditions. Whether you are going to have a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner – every taste will find something on the menu and they serve anything from delicious starters on to game, pizza, burgers and fish. They also offer a separate kiddies menu so that even the little ones fill their little tummies with the delicious food.

Our Experience

We love the relaxed atmosphere at Mont Marie and always pick a table in the play area. We have a view of the beautiful lake right in front of us and the kids can play in eye sight. The food is absolutely delicious and really caters for every taste bud. The kids love to climb the wooden jungle gym and play in the sun. Thanks to the trees, there is also plenty of shade on a hot summer day and the outdoor seating area is fully protected by tents.
