On various Sundays during the month, this 5 Star gem becomes a family haven for those who want to enjoy a delicious lunch menu while the children experience the best possible kids entertainment. On their so-called Sunday Fundays, children of all ages will be entertained by Bazinga Parties with a firework of different opportunities.
During the cooler winter month, the kids’ entertainment is conveniently located in an airy and spacious room in the hotel while in summer, the whole fun is taking place outside. The generous lawns are inviting for all sorts of ball games, bubble houses and outdoor activities.
On top of that, children can practice their fine motor skills in preparing beautiful sand art pictures, balloon twisting, they can enjoy a magic show, colour in pictures, get face painting, build houses and towers with building blocks, dance with hoops and much more! Each Sunday is designed differently and according to the age levels of the children joining them on that particular day.
The trained child-minders on site are also able to take care of even the youngest guests (babies and toddlers) by providing them with age-appropriate entertainment options such as messy play.

Fine Dining at La Carte Restaurant & De Tafel: Where masterful creations meet exquisite dining
While the children are being entertained by professional child minders, you can sit down, relax and enjoy the luxurious atmosphere of the restaurant. From tasteful wall paper, to impressive chandeliers and exquisite table settings inside or an incredible verandah setting under the natural canopy of trees: La Carte Restaurant offers an enchanting ambience where breakfast and lunch are elevated into culinary delights.
You can expect every item on the menu to be a masterpiece of different flavours and textures combined in perfection by their Head Chef Gerard van Staden. Each bite is an experience for your taste buds and you can expect delicious starters, entrees, main courses and desserts on the chef’s menu.
La Carte Restaurant also offers a dedicated kiddies menu with burgers, fish fingers, toasted sandwiches or spaghetti bolognese dished up in the most sophisticated way you can imagine. The kids will love to be part of this extraordinary dining experience and of course, their meals are just as carefully created as the ones on the main menu and exceed any expectations.
La Carte Restaurant serves breakfast from 06:30 – 10:00 daily. Lunch can be booked between 12:00 – 15:00 daily.
De Tafel is their culinary highlight for a sophisticated dinner experience. This restaurant is only open Tuesday to Saturday from 18:00 – 22:00.

Our Experience
We had the most amazing dining experience during their Sunday lunch offerings where kiddies entertainment is fully included in the experience without any additional charges. The weather wasn’t great on the day of our visit, so we sat at a beautiful table inside the restaurant and the play area was right next door.
The kids were able to do so many different things, that we barely saw them at the table during our stay. They were busy crafting their sand art pictures, building huge towers with the blocks, asking for an endless assortment of twisted balloons (now we have a flamingo, motorbike, dinosaur, flower, unicorn and sword in our display at home) and even saw a magic show! They were so proud to present us their various crafts and didn’t get bored at all during our 3 hour stay.
While the kids were entertained, we enjoyed the most delicious lunch in a very long time. The incredible taste of each and every single dish cannot be put in words and you have to go and try it for yourself. We tasted everything from starters, to mains and desserts because you simply don’t want the experience to end.
We were super impressed with the kiddies meals, too! First of all, they looked absolutely fabulous, the kids wiped clean their plates (which barely happens) and they made arrangements for our vegetarian son who was craving a burger without the meat! They made him very happy with their vegetarian version and we all went home happy and excited about this fabulous new find in Wynberg.
