Strolla Restaurant & Bar / Sea Point

You’ll basically find Strolla Restaurant & Bar at the very end of Sea Point alongside the bustling promenade. It’s a cool hangout for those who just want to grab a quick coffee and for those who need some office space during the day. In the afternoon, you can easily sip a cocktail on their roof deck and enjoy the spectacular sea views. Sounds lovely, but it becomes better. They not only have a prime position in the city, they are also super family-friendly and offer a lovely experience for the kids and even a kiddies corner inside.

The children will have the opportunity to make their very own pizza and they can choose from two different toppings: chicken or bacon. Since our son is vegetarian, they made a special effort and organized some mushrooms for him. The little bakers got to knead the dough, spread it on the baking table, add toppings and then enjoyed the very affordable home-made pizza. Each pizza (including the experience) costs R65.

For the rest of us, they also feature an extensive menu where you can choose from breakfast options, sushi, soups and salads, pizzas, entrees and much more. If the kids don’t want to make their own pizza, they can choose from other kids options on the menu. You can check out their full menu here: MENU

For the kids, they even have more entertainment as they also feature a dedicated kiddies play area right next to the main seating area of the restaurant. The Games Room has a couple of things on offer: a huge drawing table, fat sacks, a lego wall and two monitors with age appropriate video games for the older kids. So Strolla is the place to go on those cold rainy days where parents are desperately in need for inside play options.

Our Experience

Our kids had an absolute amazing time and experience at Strolla as they were able to bake their very own pizza from start to finish. They had to wear their little aprons, knead the dough, put the toppings on and then voila – they enjoyed a surprisingly delicious kiddies pizza which they were very proud of. In the meantime, they were also able to have fun in the dedicated kiddies play area which is equipped with a lego wall, fat sacks, computer games and a large drawing table.

We enjoyed a set 3-course menu which was beyond our expectation and we received amazing service from our waiter. So this was an absolute pleasant experience for the entire family and the kids asked us immediately when we would be coming back to Strolla. Win Win.
