Thorfynn's Restaurant @Monkey Valley Resort / Noordhoek

The Thorfynn’s Restaurant is part of a beautiful and unique resort nestled under milkwood trees and with stunning ocean views. On their outside seating area, you can sit in tree decks that are naturally sheltered from the wind, you have plenty of shade to protect you from the hot sun, and a short walk straight down through the milkwood forest will lead you onto that spectacular 8 km stretch of soft sandy beach with flamingos and seabirds in the lagoon.

It’s a very idyllic place to enjoy a lunch or dinner with the kids as they not only have a spectacular scenery, but they also cater for the little ones. There is a splash pool right at the outside deck which is mainly reserved for the resort guests, but they usually don’t mind when the little ones cool off their feet while dining with them.

There is also a massive jungle gym at the bottom of the deck where kids can play in peace but still in sight of their parents. The jungle gym is equipped with a slide, monkey bars and lots of climbing features.

While the kids are busy, the parents can take their time to study the delicious menu. They serve anything from breakfast, light meals, salads, oven-baked pizzas, a great selection of vegetarian dishes, sweet desserts and a very affordable kiddies menu. Our Experience

We often go there with our guests from overseas since the restaurant is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. The unique setting, the rustic interior and the spectacular views over the ocean are simply amazing. This is paired with great food and wine, so it’s always a winner. And the best part: our kids love it too! They can play safely at the playground or splash around in the pool. After we eat, we also take the walk down to the beach to admire the waves, the white sand and to spot some horse riders along the way. We can absolutely recommend this place as it simply never disappoints!
