Valley Farmstall / Hout Bay

This is a family-run business in the heart of Hout Bay. The Valley Farmstall is surrounded by mountains and greenery and it’s a perfect family spot for a relaxed day close to town.

Besides the Valley Nursery where they specialize in functional, edible, waterwise and indigenous plants, the Valley Farm is certainly the main attraction for the little ones.

The Valley Farm is home to a large variety of rescued animals who are now in good hands and can be enjoyed by the visitors. Go and say Hi to:

They don’t charge an entrance fee to the farmyard, but visitors are always welcome to leave a donation for the animal care and upkeep.

Children can play on the awesome jungle gym, run around in the play area or splash in their amazing splash pools while parents can relax and soak up the magical views with their children in sight. At the back of the restaurant, you’ll find a cute little bike track which is suitable for children up to 6 years old. There you’ll find a fire truck, petrol station, trampoline and windmill.

Kiddies Birthday Parties

You can arrange a fun day for the birthday girl or boy and book the bike park and playground as an exclusive party venue. Our Experience

This is a great place for an all-round experience for the kids. They have a small bike track and playground, yummy food and best of all: cute animals walking among the crowd. They have chickens, goats, birds and much more. Our kids love this place and we go there on a regular basis. It might be a bit boring for older kids. This is really a place for the little ones, but great fun all along. The burgers and salads are delicious and we can really recommend the kitchen! You wouldn’t expect such good food in an animal retreat.
