Wooley’s Tidal Pool / Kalk Bay

Wooley’s Tidal Pool is basically divided into two pools. One of them is a small, splash pool which is great for the little ones to play in. The other one is a deeper pool where experienced swimmers can go for a relaxing swim with beautiful views over Fishhoek.

This 303 square metres tidal pool is located between Kalk Bay and Clovelly and you can access it via a staircase that goes under the railway line. Although there is no beach and no public facilities around this pool, families with younger children still appreciate this spot for its shallow waters and the less crowded environment. You can sit on the flat rocks next to the pool and watch over the children while they play in the water. The stones can become a bit slippery though, so you should always be cautious when you walk on them.
